Bhendi Bazaar Redevelopment Project: MHADA out of reserve space for lottery-drawn surplus houses

SBUT completed Phase 1 of the project in 2020 providing new houses comprising 610 families and 128 businesses in two towers. Currently, Phase 2 rehab building construction work going is on at full speed and is set to be ready by 2025

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) will not have reserve space for lottery-drawn surplus houses for one of Mumbai’s biggest cluster redevelopment projects, Bhendi Bazaar, which spreads over 16.5 acres of land parcel.
