July 26, 2025: The Mumbai Division of Central Railway will undertake a Mega Block on its suburban sections on Sunday, July 27 , to carry out essential engineering and maintenance work. Between Thane and Kalyan stations, Up and Down slow lines will remain blocked from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. During this period, Down Slow/Semi-Fast services departing from Mulund between 10:43 am and 3:53 pm will be diverted to the Down Fast line, halting at Thane, Kalva, Mumbra, Diva, and Dombivli stations. These trains will reach their destinations approximately 10 minutes behind schedule.
Similarly, Up Slow/Semi-Fast services departing from Kalyan between 10:36 am and 3:51 pm will run on the Up Fast line until Mulund, halting at the same intermediate stations. They will be redirected to the Up Slow line from Mulund and will also experience a delay of around 10 minutes. All slow services arriving at or departing from CSMT Mumbai between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm will be delayed by roughly 10 minutes.
On the Harbour line, services between Panvel and Vashi will be suspended from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm. Up Harbour line trains for CSMT leaving Panvel between 10:33 am and 5:07 pm, and Down services from CSMT to Panvel/Belapur between 9:45 am and 3:44 pm, will be cancelled.
Trans-Harbour services between Panvel and Thane will also remain suspended during this period. However, services between Thane and Vashi/Nerul, as well as Port line services, will continue to operate. “These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety,” said a Central Railway official. “Passengers are kindly requested to bear with the inconvenience.”
