The MMRDA has completed 84% of Motagaon-Mankoli creek bridge and connecting road work. Now commuters will be able to travel from Thane to Dombivali in just 20 minutes. The Motagaon-Mankoli creek bridge undertaken by the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) is 84 percent complete

The remaining work will be completed and this bridge and road will be put into traffic service by May 2023. Passengers face traffic jams to reach Dombivli from Thane and to go towards Dombivli from Mumbai-Nashik highway, one has to pass from Kalyan. And other options are time consuming. Keeping this in mind, MMRDA decided to construct a six-tier Mankoli Bridge and a causeway across Ulhas Bay
