Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and the upcoming Navi Mumbai Airport will be connected by a new metro line, which is being developed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO)
The new metro line, known as the Gold Line or the Airport Express Line, will be 35 km long and is expected to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 15,000 crore. MMRDA will develop metro line 8 from CSMIA to Mankhurd, covering a total of 11 km, in collaboration with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
