Maharashtra’s Economy will become trillion dollar by 2028, said N Chandrashekharan, president of the State Economy Development Council and president of Tata Sons, on Wednesday. The council submitted its recommendation report to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. “The report and the recommendations aim at inclusive and sustainable development of Maharashtra. The state will achieve its aim of becoming trillion dollar economy by 2028,” he said.
Chandrashekharan mentioned that the report has primarily worked on five sectors directly linked to industry and three others which connect all these sectors.“Consultations were held with various stakeholders including farmers, industrialists, experts from different fields. While it has dealt with MSMEs and agri related businesses,we have also worked upon Fintech and AI-related sectors,” Chandrashekharan said.
