To ensure seamless traffic movement from Link Road Andheri West to Poonam Nagar, Mahakali caves Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) encompassing a 5.7 km stretch, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) will construct five flyovers adjacent to the Metro Line 6—Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli—which is under construction.
As per the MMRDA official, work on flyovers will begin soon, since in the last month, the appointment of the contractor and Project Management Consultant have been approved. BMC has finished building the flyover from Swami Vivekananda (SV) Road to Laxmi Nagar, Jogeshwari (E), which was opened to traffic in 2015 (Hindu Hrudaya samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Flyover) at an approximate length of 0.92 km.
