NMIA: Gautam Adani’s Bold Step Toward A World-Class Aviation Hub

Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, visited the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) today to examine the current development and monitor its progress. The Adani Airport staff greeted him and gave him a thorough update on the project’s progress when he arrived. The quick developments allegedly impressed Adani.

Gautam Adani expressed his opinions on X, formerly Twitter, writing: “A look at India’s aviation’s future! Today, I went to the location of the Navi Mumbai International Airport. An airport of the highest calibre is emerging. It will redefine growth and connectivity when it is inaugurated in June—it is a true gift to India! Congratulations to the stakeholders and Adani Airports team for making this idea a reality.

Adani’s visit was verified by a representative for Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL), who also said that the project is still on schedule for completion and that its opening is scheduled for June 2025. Arun Bansal, CEO of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, Captain B.V.J.K. Sharma, CEO of NMIAL, and Dr. Priti Adani, Jeet Adani, and Diva Adani attended the review meeting. Stakeholder company representatives were also in attendance.

The New Mumbai International Airport is anticipated to boost economic growth and improve regional connectivity once it is finished. The Adani Group is building the airport, which is situated roughly 35 kilometres from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) between Amra Marg and National Highway 4B. The Gateway of India in South Mumbai is roughly 49 miles away, Worli is 43 km away, Andheri is 49 km away, and Mira Road is 56 km away.
