August 28, 2025: Navi Mumbai is set to witness its most ambitious cluster redevelopment project as EV Homes commences the transformation of Nakshatra CHS in Vashi. Valued at more than Rs 2,500 crore, the initiative marks a milestone in the city’s urban renewal and underlines the growing scale of redevelopment activity across the region.
Situated in Sector 9, the three-acre scheme has been described as the single largest redevelopment undertaking in Navi Mumbai. Beyond providing new housing, the plan incorporates modern commercial avenues, high-street retail, and community-focused facilities. Industry observers note that the project signals a wider shift towards integrated redevelopments designed to raise urban living standards.
The momentum comes as Navi Mumbai attracts increasing interest from both developers and homebuyers, fuelled by metro expansions, improved connectivity, and major infrastructure upgrades. Officials suggest the project could elevate Vashi into a premium urban centre, rivalling international benchmarks in design and planning.
With over three decades of project delivery, EV Homes has become a leading name in the city’s redevelopment drive. Analysts highlight that cluster redevelopment—where multiple housing societies are rebuilt in unison—delivers greater economies of scale, optimises land use, and enables the adoption of sustainability measures such as energy-efficient design and green spaces.
The redevelopment of Nakshatra CHS is also symbolic, representing a departure from fragmented single-building projects towards master-planned clusters aligned with Navi Mumbai’s aspiration to be a zero-carbon, sustainable metropolis. Officials stress that such housing must integrate eco-friendly features including rainwater harvesting, solar energy, and advanced waste management systems.
