Navi Mumbai’s Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital Launches Cutting-Edge Paediatric Cardiac Surgery Wing

September 6, 2025: In a significant boost to paediatric cardiac care, Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Kharghar inaugurated a state-of-the-art operation theatre and an expanded intensive care unit on 13 August 2025. The new facilities are expected to benefit more than 350 children every year by providing life-saving heart surgeries and treatment, entirely free of cost.

“With this milestone, Sai Sanjeevani Hospital reaffirms its mission of delivering paediatric cardiac care at no cost, blending advanced medical expertise with compassion and dignity for every child and family,” a hospital representative said. The expansion has been made possible through the CSR support of Bajaj Finserv. “Every child deserves a healthy heart and the opportunity to pursue their dreams. This initiative will grant hundreds of children a new lease of life,” the representative added.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Shefali Bajaj, Chairperson of the CSR Steering Committee at Bajaj Finserv; Kurush Irani, President, CSR, Bajaj Finserv; and members of the CSR team. Also present were the three trustees of the Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust — C. Sreenivas, legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, and Vivek Gour

Hospital officials stressed that the new operation theatre and ICU represent more than just an expansion of infrastructure. They symbolise a pledge to ensure that no child is denied treatment because of financial hardship. “This is the dawn of healing, of renewed hope and of lives saved,” the Trust observed during the ceremony.

The initiative reinforces Navi Mumbai’s position as a hub for accessible, advanced healthcare, underlining the power of partnerships between medical institutions and socially committed corporates in addressing critical health challenges.
