Panvel Civic Body Speeds Up Road Repairs Across Four Divisions

September 12, 2025: The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has accelerated road repair works across its four divisions, with officials carrying out restoration on a war footing to reduce inconvenience to residents.

On Thursday, Additional Commissioner Ganesh Shete inspected several sites, including Sector 35 in Kharghar division, Taloja village and Koynavale, directing engineers and contractors to fast-track the works. The inspection followed instructions from Commissioner and Administrator Mangesh Chitale, who had earlier ordered immediate repairs to damaged stretches.

During the visit, Ward Officer Jitendra Mhadavi, Engineer Prakash Dode, other civic officials, contractors and staff accompanied Shete as progress on key sites was reviewed.

The PMC has already completed repair works on several important routes, including the Kharghar Railway Station Road, Sector 6, Utsav Chowk to Gurudwara stretch, Shilp Chowk, as well as in Taloja, Koynavale and Palekhurd. Officials emphasised that the corporation is prioritising heavily used stretches to ensure smoother traffic movement and improved safety during the monsoon season.

In an effort to address complaints more efficiently, the civic body has urged citizens to contact junior engineers of the construction department directly for road-related issues. To facilitate quick response, officials have also shared dedicated mobile numbers for each division:

  • Rahul Jadhav (Kalamboli): 8237208425

  • Mayur Gadkari (Kharghar): 9137211499

  • Pratik Angre (New Panvel): 9321141072

  • Kiran Patil: 9664538209

The PMC has assured residents that all major repair works will be completed in a time-bound manner. With inspections ongoing and daily monitoring by senior officials, the corporation aims to minimise disruptions and provide safer, more reliable road infrastructure across Panvel’s rapidly growing urban areas.
