Central Railway To Run Special Traffic Blocks On Panvel–Kalamboli, Nilje–Dativali Until Dec 3

November 22, 2025: Central Railway (CR), Mumbai Division, has announced special traffic and power blocks on key suburban and mainline sections between Panvel and Kalamboli, and Nilje and Dativali, to carry out essential maintenance and infrastructure work. Passengers have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly.

CR will operate blocks on Platforms, Up & Down lines, Up & Down Loop lines, and Engine Reversal lines between Panvel and Kalamboli to facilitate infringement removal work at the Panvel-Kalamboli Coaching Complex. “Train services will run normally on November 21/22 (Friday/Saturday night),” CR stated.

Impact on Train Services
On subsequent nights, several outstation trains will face temporary regulation or diversion. For instance, the Thiruvanthapuram Central–Hazrat Nizamuddin Superfast Express will be regulated for 15 minutes at Somatane on November 22/23. The Mangaluru–CSMT Superfast Express will face multiple short regulations at Somatane and Apta on several nights, while trains like the Daund–Gwalior Superfast Express and Ernakulam–Pune Superfast Express will be diverted via Karjat-Kalyan-Vasai Road with halts at Kalyan instead of Panvel. LTT–Madgaon and LTT–Karmali Expresses will be rescheduled on specified nights.

Nilje–Dativali Special Blocks
CR will also operate blocks on UP and DOWN lines between Nilje and Dativali from November 25 to December 8, 1.10 am to 4.10 am, to dismantle the existing Shilphata road overbridge as part of the Dedicated Freight Corridor project. During this period, trains such as the Mangaluru–CSMT Superfast Express and Daund–Gwalior Superfast Express will experience short regulations or diversions.

CR has urged passengers to cooperate, stressing that these blocks are “essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety.”

The special blocks will continue until December 3 for Panvel–Kalamboli sections, ensuring long-term improvements to commuter and freight operations across these busy corridors.
