Actor Sanya Malhotra has stepped into a new phase of her life with the purchase of a sea-facing residence in Mumbai. The actor recently shared glimpses of her new home and housewarming ceremony on Instagram, giving followers a look inside the thoughtfully designed space.
After a busy professional year in 2025, Malhotra appears to be focusing on settling into her new home. On March 14, she posted a series of photographs from the griha pravesh ceremony, offering a visual tour of the apartment that blends traditional elements with a minimalist design approach.
The home features soft beige walls and extensive wooden detailing around doorways and sections of the ceiling, creating a calm and warm interior environment. Subtle lighting and central air-conditioning add to the comfortable ambience. The flooring uses brown tiles accented with alternating dark and white square patterns, while several archways with carved wooden borders connect the living spaces and hallways.
One of the highlights of the residence is its spacious balcony, which provides sweeping views of the surrounding city skyline. The location also offers a clear view of the nearby coastline, allowing residents to enjoy both the urban landscape and the sea from the same vantage point.
When furnishing the apartment, Malhotra opted for a minimal yet functional approach. Light-toned furniture and wooden textures complement the interiors, while decorative lamps add character to different corners of the home. Indoor plants and flower vases bring natural elements into the space. The veranda, separated from the interior by glass panels, features a swing that enhances the relaxed atmosphere.
In the caption of her Instagram post, Malhotra wrote, “Har Har Mahadev. Years of dreaming, working, learning and growing. Iss ghar ki har deewar mujhe yaad dilayegi ki patience aur faith ka result kitna sundar ho sakta hai. And through it all meri family and friends ka trust was always my biggest strength. This is more than just a house. It’s a little piece of my journey. Welcome to my ghar.”
Photographs from the ceremony show the actor dressed in a pink saree while performing rituals, including carrying a kalash on her head under the guidance of a priest. The celebration was attended by close friends and family members who joined her for the occasion.
