The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has announced a Rs 16,250-crore budget for the financial year 2026–27, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure development, connectivity, and housing across Navi Mumbai. The civic body has projected revenues of Rs 16,250 crore for the upcoming year, alongside an estimated expenditure of Rs 16,150 crore, resulting in a planned surplus of Rs 100 crore.
The latest budget marks a significant increase compared to the previous financial year 2025–26, when CIDCO recorded revenues of Rs 9,774.23 crore and expenditure of Rs 9,770.26 crore, yielding a marginal surplus of Rs 3.97 crore.
A major portion of the allocation will be directed towards ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects. Key initiatives include Metro Line 8, which will connect the Navi Mumbai International Airport with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, along with Metro Line 1A (Belapur–NMIA) and Line 2 (Pendhar–NMIA Terminal 4). These projects are expected to enhance regional connectivity and support the growing transport network.
CIDCO is also advancing plans for an elevated corridor linking Thane with the Navi Mumbai International Airport under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. In addition, several economic zones are being developed around the airport under the broader “Mumbai 3.0” vision. These include an AeroCity focused on hospitality and business, an EduCity proposed to host 10 global universities, and a MedCity designed as a hub for healthcare and research.
Other developments include a corporate park in Kharghar, an integrated logistics park, and multiple water supply projects aimed at supporting future growth.
Through this budget, CIDCO aims to strengthen Navi Mumbai’s infrastructure backbone while fostering economic development and improving urban living standards in the region.
