BMC to rely on demarcation of coastal zones from external agencies to sanction building proposals

MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to rely on the demarcation of coastal zones obtained by builders from external agencies to sanction building proposals. The decision has been taken as the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) has failed to provide the requisite digital map for approval of building plans .
