September 17, 2025: Mumbai-based real estate developer Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd. (MLDL) has announced its selection as the development partner for two major society redevelopment projects in Chembur’s Diamond Garden area. The combined gross development potential of these projects is estimated at approximately Rs 1,700 crore.
Spread across 2.6 acres and 1.8 acres, respectively, the two societies will be transformed into modern residential complexes, offering homes designed with sustainability, connectivity, and contemporary amenities at the core. According to the company, the redevelopment will provide residents with an enhanced lifestyle while delivering long-term value through environmentally conscious planning and thoughtful urban design.
“Redevelopment continues to play an important role in our growth journey. It enables us to bring high-quality residential projects to neighbourhoods where demand remains strong. We are grateful for the trust the societies have placed in us. Through this project, we look forward to contributing to the growth story of Chembur,” said Vimalendra Singh, Chief Business Officer – Residential, Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.
The Diamond Garden area of Chembur has long been regarded as a prime residential location owing to its strategic connectivity to Mumbai’s business districts and eastern suburbs. The company highlighted that Chembur is poised to gain further momentum following regulatory approvals that allow for higher redevelopment potential, thereby unlocking additional value for stakeholders.
“Situated just 1.5 kilometres from the Eastern Freeway, the projects offer direct access to Thane, Navi Mumbai, and other key parts of Mumbai. Connectivity will be further strengthened by the Diamond Garden Metro Station on Line 2, along with nearby Monorail and Railway links. Proximity to business hubs such as BKC and Powai makes the location highly accessible and well-positioned for the future,” the company added.
