MLA fund can now be used for housing societies, Maharashtra government gives nod

In what will be a major help to all political parties, the state government has approved the utilization of the MLA Local Area Development (LAD) fund on the premises of housing societies. This will be applicable in all areas under municipal corporations, municipal councils, and Nagar Panchayats. Civic elections are due in nearly 15 municipal corporations, including BMC, most likely after the monsoon season.
