Mumbai’s luxury property market continues to attract high-net-worth buyers, with prominent cricketers and their families making significant investments in residential assets across the city. Over the past year, family members of Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Zaheer Khan have collectively invested more than Rs 65 crore, highlighting the sustained demand for premium homes in India’s financial capital.
Devisha Yadav, wife of T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, recently acquired a 1,500 sq ft apartment in the Godrej Sky Terraces project at Deonar for Rs 7.18 crore. Registered on February 20, 2026, the deal involved stamp duty of around Rs 35.9 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000. This marks the couple’s third apartment in the same development, expanding their real estate footprint. Earlier, in March 2025, Devisha had purchased two units on the 17th and 18th floors for over Rs 21 crore, according to property records accessed by CRE Matrix.
Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, added a luxury residence to her portfolio by buying a 2,760 sq ft apartment at Ahuja Towers, Prabhadevi, for Rs 26.30 crore. The property, which includes three car parking slots, was registered on December 12, 2025, with a stamp duty of approximately ₹1.31 crore.
Former India pacer Zaheer Khan, along with family members including actor Sagarika Ghatge, invested in a ready-to-move apartment at Indiabulls Sky, Elphinstone Road, measuring 2,158 sq ft with three parking spaces. The purchase, completed in February 2025, was valued at Rs 11 crore.
Adding to the trend, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma acquired a 5-acre property in Zirad village, Alibaug, near Awas Beach, for Rs 37.86 crore in January 2026. The transaction involved two adjoining land parcels totaling approximately 21,010 sq metres and was registered on January 13, as per CRE Matrix records.
Experts note that Mumbai’s luxury residential segment continues to benefit from celebrity investments, reflecting confidence in high-value assets and the city’s growing appeal as a long-term property destination.
