TTD Plans Padmavathi Temple In Navi Mumbai, Clears Series Of Infra & Devotional Upgrades

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board has approved the construction of a Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, marking a significant expansion of its spiritual footprint outside Andhra Pradesh. The proposed temple will be built close to the existing Sri Balaji temple, which is already under development by the trust.

TTD Chairman BR Naidu, while briefing the media on Wednesday, said that board member Sourabh Bora has agreed to fully finance the construction of the upcoming Padmavathi Ammavari temple in Navi Mumbai.

In a set of major infrastructure decisions, the trust board cleared Rs 4.5 crore for constructing additional toilet facilities along the free darshan queue lines between ATGH and the Bata Gangamma temple at Tirumala, aimed at improving amenities for devotees.

An additional Rs 43 crore has been sanctioned for upgrading infrastructure and facilities across TTD-run educational institutions, reflecting a focus on strengthening academic and residential support systems.

To address rising water demand at Tirumala, the board approved Rs 6 crore for laying an extra pipeline from the Gogarbham dam to the Filter House.

Another major approval included Rs 36.9 crore for the construction of a seven-storey Maharaja Gokulam complex at the TTD temple in Venkatapalem near Amaravati. The funds will also support the development of Ayina Mahal, Radha Mandapam, Arjitha Seva Mandapam, Pushkarini, and a Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple within the complex.

To ease congestion at Alipiri, TTD has proposed a separate checkpoint exclusively for APSRTC buses and cargo vehicles near the Vinayaka Swamy temple.

Financial assistance under the Dhoopa-Deepa Naivedyam scheme has been doubled from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.

The board has also formed committees to review donor privileges, resolve employee housing site allocations, and examine renaming major roads and landmarks at Tirumala with spiritual nomenclature.

TTD also plans a mega accommodation complex near Alipiri, with further resolutions passed during the meeting attended by senior officials and board members.
