Mumbai Metro-3 To Offer Free Last-Mile Bus Service In BKC On Public Transport Day

Commuters using Mumbai Metro Line-3’s Aqua Line will benefit from free last-mile connectivity in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) on July 3, 2026, as part of the Public Transport Day initiative jointly organised by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRC) and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) in collaboration with WRI India and BKCMoves.

Under the initiative, Cityflo will operate complimentary feeder bus services within BKC, enabling Metro-3 passengers to travel seamlessly between the BKC Metro Station and key commercial destinations across the business district. The service aims to make first- and last-mile connectivity more convenient, encouraging greater use of public transport.

The free feeder buses will operate from Entrance/Exit Gates A1 and A2 of the BKC Metro Station. Passengers will be able to travel at no cost to major destinations, including Jio World Plaza, One BKC, JetOne MMRDA, Kalanagar, BDB Gate No. 7, ICICI Bus Stop, and The Capital (Crescenzo). The service has been designed to provide quicker and more seamless onward travel for commuters within the BKC business district.

BKC is one of Mumbai’s largest commercial and financial hubs, attracting thousands of office-goers and visitors every day. Since the opening of the Aqua Line, commuters have gained a faster and more efficient travel option connecting Aarey JVLR and Cuffe Parade.

Metro Line-3 also offers convenient interchange facilities with several transport networks, including Metro Line-1 at Marol Naka, suburban railway stations at CSMT, Churchgate, Dadar, Grant Road, Mahalaxmi, and Mahim. Additionally, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Terminal-2 (CSMIA-T2) is directly connected to the metro network through a pedestrian bridge, further strengthening multimodal connectivity.

According to the organisers, the Public Transport Day initiative aims to encourage greater adoption of integrated public transport, reduce road congestion and carbon emissions, and promote sustainable mobility solutions by making public transport more accessible and convenient for daily commuters.
