CREDAI-MCHI To Host 10th Edition Of Design & Construction Conference On August 19

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India–Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (CREDAI-MCHI) will host the 10th edition of its Design & Construction Conference on August 19, 2026, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.

The conference, which marks a decade of the association’s Procurement Wing, will bring together procurement professionals, construction heads, architects, consultants and senior representatives from the real estate sector. The event is expected to feature discussions on construction practices, technology adoption, procurement strategies and evolving trends in the industry.

Established in 2016, the CREDAI-MCHI Procurement Wing was formed to create a platform connecting real estate developers with manufacturers, suppliers and other stakeholders involved in the construction ecosystem. Over the years, the wing has undertaken initiatives such as BizNet, WeConnect, Pitch to BizNet, X-clusive, Buildverse and the Spaciux Awards to encourage collaboration among industry participants.

The upcoming conference will also focus on the changing role of procurement in real estate development. Industry stakeholders said procurement has expanded beyond material sourcing and now influences areas such as cost management, project timelines, quality control, sustainability and adoption of new construction technologies.

The event will be held under the leadership of CREDAI-MCHI President Sukhraj Nahar, while the Procurement Wing operates under the guidance of Convener Nimish Ajmera.

The conference will feature participation from more than 50 construction and allied brands along with over 500 industry professionals. Sessions at the event will discuss emerging construction solutions, sustainable practices and operational challenges faced by developers.

Over the last decade, procurement functions have become an important part of project planning and execution, with professionals playing a role in improving efficiency and supporting innovation across construction projects.
