Singer Rahul Vaidya and actor Disha Parmar have recently moved into their new sea-facing penthouse in Bandra, Mumbai, reportedly valued at around Rs 9 crore. The couple’s spacious home features contemporary interiors, a large terrace garden and a private swimming pool overlooking the city.
Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, who was previously their neighbour, recently visited the residence with her cook Dilip and shared glimpses of the property in her vlog. The visit also sparked memories of Indian Idol Season 1, where Farah was a judge and Rahul, then 17, emerged as a finalist.
On entering the home, Farah praised Rahul’s journey and said, “Kya banaya hai Rahul tune, so proud of you yaa (what have you made).”
Reflecting on his transformation from a young contestant to a homeowner in one of Mumbai’s sought-after neighbourhoods, she added, “You were amazing. When you took part, you came from a middle-class and modest background, and now see, literally on the sea-front, he has bought a house in Bandra.”
Elegant Living Room With Sea Views
The penthouse’s living room combines a spacious layout with understated luxury. Cream marble flooring, warm ceiling lights and muted white and olive-green furniture surround a coffee-toned centre table and television unit.
Floor-to-ceiling glass-and-wood partitions and sheer white curtains bring natural light into the room while opening up views of the Arabian Sea and Mumbai’s skyline. A swing on the balcony offers another place to take in the view.
“What a view,” Farah said while looking through the large windows.
Rahul, meanwhile, praised Farah’s home and said, “Have you seen your house? Her house and her neighbour Himesh Reshammiya’s house might be the two most beautiful houses in the city.”
A black-and-white patterned floor runs through the hallway, where framed family photographs lead towards the other rooms and the temple area.
Terrace Becomes the Showstopper
The highlight of the property is the expansive terrace, which features a landscaped patch of grass, plants, decorative rocks and a large swimming pool.
After preparing the Maharashtrian dish Matki Chi in their silver-and-beige modular kitchen, the group headed upstairs to explore the outdoor space.
“Oh wow, this is like my terrace,” Farah said.
Rahul pointed out the panoramic surroundings and said, “A 360 degree view of Mumbai. You can see the airport, Taj Lands End, Bandstand, Worli, and the entire Ghatkopar from here,”
The terrace offers sweeping views across several parts of Mumbai, adding to the appeal of the sea-facing residence.
Recalling Their Love Story
During the vlog, Rahul and Disha also discussed their relationship and remembered the proposal that took place during his stint on Bigg Boss 14.
Rahul recalled, “We were already together, and we hadn’t discussed about a proposal. But, when you are in the house, you get perspective about everything. So, I thought of saying it to her on her birthday, by writing it on my T-shirt with a lipstick.”
Disha responded, “I had no idea. I was so shocked and happily surprised,”
The couple had earlier performed their griha pravesh ceremony with their daughter Navya on March 20, on the occasion of Gudi Padwa.
From its sweeping sea views and premium interiors to its landscaped terrace and pool, the Bandra penthouse reflects the couple’s move into a more luxurious chapter of their Mumbai life, while its personal photographs and family spaces keep the home rooted in their journey together.
