MMRDA’s Mumbai One App Records 1.32 Crore Bookings In A Year

Mumbai One, a unified mobility application developed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), has completed its first year of operations, recording more than 1.32 crore ticket bookings and attracting over 9.19 lakh registered users.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 8, 2025, the platform was introduced to simplify travel across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) by providing commuters with a single digital interface for planning journeys and purchasing tickets.

During its first 12 months, the application brought 11 public transport operators together on one platform. This enables passengers to access ticketing facilities for different transport services without having to switch between multiple applications.

The initiative seeks to make daily commuting more convenient by reducing dependence on separate booking systems. Passengers can plan their routes and purchase tickets digitally, helping them avoid queues at ticket counters and the inconvenience of carrying exact change for ticket purchases.

By integrating multiple transport operators, Mumbai One is intended to improve coordination between different modes of public transport and offer commuters a more seamless travel experience. The common platform also supports broader efforts to make public transportation more accessible and digitally connected across the MMR.

The application is available for download on Android and iOS devices. Its first-year performance offers an initial indication of the demand for integrated digital ticketing among commuters travelling across the region.

Going forward, the platform’s effectiveness will depend on its ability to keep pace with the expansion of the MMR’s transport network and respond to passengers’ everyday requirements. As additional infrastructure and services become operational, maintaining connectivity between transport operators and ticketing systems will be increasingly important.

Reliable services, user-friendly navigation and accurate journey information will also be essential to improving the commuter experience. Continued enhancements in these areas could strengthen Mumbai One’s role in facilitating convenient, integrated public transport journeys across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
