Mumbai’s cultural landscape has gained a new destination with the opening of The Library at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), located at the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex. Opened to visitors on November 1, 2026, the space combines literature, art, dining and cultural activities.
The Library is open to the general public and is designed as a shared cultural space rather than a members-only reading room. Visitors can browse its collection, explore the interiors, attend literary programmes and enjoy food and beverages. However, timings, event registrations and entry requirements may vary, so visitors are advised to check NMACC’s official platform before planning their visit.
The experience begins at the Edit Room, which features a coffee counter, high seating and an indoor banyan tree. Its interiors bring together contemporary design and reading spaces, offering an alternative to a conventional bookstore.

The collection covers a range of interests, including Indian and international literature, graphic novels, comics, art, history, food and mythology. Visitors can find collectible Marvel titles, works on artists such as S.H. Raza, Amar Chitra Katha publications and Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis. Popular and self-help books are also part of the selection.
Beyond browsing, the venue plans to host book readings, poetry sessions, storytelling programmes, open-mic events, workshops, book clubs and discussions on culture and contemporary subjects. A dedicated stage will serve as a platform for literary conversations and community activities.
Dining is another part of the offering, allowing visitors to combine reading with refreshments. A spiral staircase leads to a mezzanine area with paperback collections and quieter seating. The staircase also features photographs documenting Mumbai’s changing landscape, while artwork adds to the visual character of the space.
With literature, food, design and events brought together under one roof, The Library expands NMACC’s cultural programme and offers Mumbaikars another public destination for reading, exploration and creative engagement.
