The Bandra (E) skywalk, built in 2008, is being dismantled by BMC to make way for a new one. The 1. 3km skywalk was the first of its kind facility to be built for the comfort of pedestrians. However, it has remained underutilized because of the circuitous route. Already parts of the skywalk have been cut to facilitate the construction of a flyover as part of Kalanagar junction improvement project.
