Mumbai’s Eastern Freeway to Grant Road in 7 minutes, plans underway for elevated road

The civic authority in Mumbai has been executing several projects to improve road connectivity in the city. In a latest such initiative, BMC is planning a new elevated road to connect the Eastern Freeway to Grant Road

As per the proposed alignment, Rs 700-crore elevated road start from Eastern Freeway and pass through Hancock Bridge, JJ Flyover – Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, and would end at Frere Bridge in Grant Road-east. According to officials, the elevated road will cut down the travel time from South Mumbai to Eastern Freeway from over 40 minutes to as short as seven minutes
