Mumbai To Alibaugh Travel Time Set To Reduce Significantly As MSRDC’s Revas-Karanja Bridge Over Dharamtar Creek Moves To Award Stage

The bridge is set to reduce the road journey time between Mumbai and Alibaug significantly. Currently, it takes about two hours to cover the 70 km distance between Revas and Karanja. Once the bridge is constructed, it will reduce the time to about 10 minutes

While ferry services operate between Revas and Karanja, they do not have a provision for carrying vehicles on board. Due to rough weather, ferry services are often suspended during the monsoon season. The bridge, on completion, will reduce the driving distance between Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) in Mumbai and Alibaug from around 55 km to 30 km
