The work of laying metro rail system in Mumbai and MMR is progressing rapidly. There is also a place in MMR where the Mumbai Metro will pass through the bridge being built on the sea bay. Metro-5 connecting Thane to Bhiwandi and Kalyan will cross Kasheli Bay
Work on building a bridge across this great bay is in full swing. The work on Creek Bridge is being done in the first phase of Mumbai Metro Line-5. It may be noted that 100 years ago, the British had built a bridge across Kasheli Bay to connect Thane to Bhiwandi. That iron bridge still stands today. About 10 years ago, the state government built a new bridge for the movement of vehicles
