The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has begun work on the Aarey Metro station, which will serve as the terminal station for the 33.5 km-long underground Metro Line 3 corridor in Mumbai. The first phase of the project is expected to open until the Bandra-Kurla complex in December 2023
This project is considered to be a significant infrastructure development that will enhance connectivity within the city and improve public transportation. Out of the 26 metro stations planned for the corridor, Aarey will be the only station constructed at ground level. The station is already 15% complete and will have a double discharge platform. The station will be accessible to both the general public and MMRC employees who work at the depot
