The MahaRera has issued show-cause notices to as many as 563 developers for not submitting quarterly progress report (QPR), which has details such as the number of apartments booked, the amounts received the allottees and list of approvals obtained, among others. In May this year, the MahaRera had issued a show-cause notice about quarterly project reports to 746 developers who had registered their projects in January this year.
Of the 748 projects registered in January this year, only two developers had provided the QPR. MahaRera therefore issued notices to the rest of the developers in the first week of May, directing them to update this information. Subsequently, only 183 of these developers updated their quarterly reports on the website, forcing the MahaRERA to issue notices to 563 developers, asking them why their registration should not be cancelled.
