It is now required by the Maharashtra Real Estate Authority (MahaRERA) to include all parking information in the annexures to the agreement for sale and allotment letter. The housing regulator received a number of complaints, including ones about vehicles not being able to park in designated spaces, doors sticking shut when trying to exit a car, and insufficient room for maneuvering. MahaRERA released a model annexure draft along with a sale agreement and allotment letter after giving careful consideration to the complaints.
In accordance with the circular’s annexure, MahaRERA has released a model draft clause that should be incorporated into the legal documents. This clause contains all the information pertaining to the parking lot number, length, height, and width as well as the position of the parking block within the structure. Promoters are required to affix these facts with an allotment letter and agreement for sale in order to avoid any confusion or conflicts later on.
