The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has obtained a no objection certificate (NOC) for the construction of a launch shaft from the Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) on land near P D’Mello Road, which is a crucial step forward for the Orange Gate-Marine Drive tunnel project.
The contractor will shortly receive the 1.96 acre allocated area so that tunnelling activities can begin. According to sources, MMRDA will give the contractor access to this site shortly so that tunneling may start.
