The Development Plan (DP) has been amended by the state government’s Urban Development Department (UDD) to allow for transit-oriented development (TOD) along the subterranean Metro 3 route, which is being built by Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL).
Builders that develop their buildings within 500 meters of the metro line and connect them with vestibules will receive increased FSI as a result of the modification. Because residents in these recently constructed homes or employees in the business spaces can access the corresponding metro stations below through the vestibules, this has been done to lessen traffic congestion on the road.
