Soon, motorists will be able to travel on the eagerly anticipated northbound coastal route from Marine Drive to Haji Ali Chowk. This huge project will be inaugurated later in the day by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Phased completion of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project is underway.
This is going to be the second Dharmaveer Swarajya Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Mumbai Coastal Road (South) subterranean tunnel. By July 10, it is also anticipated that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will open the phase up to Bindumadhav Thackeray Chowk. This will make using the Mumbai Coastal Road Project to reach north easier.
