The longest tunnel in the Mumbai suburban railway network, Tunnel 2, has been completed, marking a significant milestone for the network. This engineering marvel is a part of the grandiose Airoli-Kalwa elevated corridor project, which is situated between Airoli and Kalwa.
With the use of cutting-edge tunneling technology, the innovation was achieved while maintaining structural integrity and safety. The 3.6-kilometer tunnel would improve connection in the busy city and drastically cut down on travel time.
