The owners of 60 hoardings that were discovered to be illegally erected on its properties without the necessary “No Objection Certificate (NOC)” have received letters from the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).
MHADA’s vice-president and chief executive officer, Sanjeev Jaiswal, claims that out of the 62 hoardings erected on company premises, 60 did not have the required NOC from the relevant government. According to Jaiswal, the authority has requested in the notices that these hoardings be taken down right away. Failure to comply will lead to their forced deconstruction, with support from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
