Beginning operations in March 2025, Navi Mumbai Airport

According to Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol, the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) will be operational by March 2025 and ready for use.

In Pune on Sunday, Mohol stated that over 70% of the work at NMIA, which was supposed to be finished by December 2024, had been done and the remaining 30% would be finished by March. Additionally, he unveiled plans to expand Pune Airport, facilitating the landing of larger planes and enhancing Pune’s international links. Mohol was making his first trip to his home seat of Pune since becoming a minister.
