Mumbaikars Breathe Easier as 63% of City Roads Cleared of Metro Line-3 Barricades

As the underground Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro Line 3 nears completion, MMRCL is actively restoring roads and removing construction barricades. Residents are relieved, anticipating an end to the issues they have faced for over five years due to the construction. These issues range from traffic congestion to reduced sales for shop owners along the route. The time when all these inconveniences will be resolved is approaching. MMRCL has already cleared over 60 percent of the roads.

According to a Hindustan Times report, “almost 63 percent of the roads across all seven packages on the 33.5-km-long underground metro line have been restored. Of the total 28,885 meters of road barricaded on the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro-3 line, MMRCL has restored 18,123 meters.”
