Pod taxis will soon operate in Mumbai between Bandra and Kurla, according to recent news sources. The launch of a pod taxi service in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) area has reportedly received approval from the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional event Authority. This is a noteworthy event as it is the first of its kind in Mumbai’s financial district. The decision attempts to address the well-known traffic jams in the BKC region.
The Bandra-Kurla Complex is a well-known commercial area. To facilitate mobility there, the Maharashtra government presented plans for a pod taxi service on Tuesday. According to sources, the Chief Minister’s office declared that the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) approved the pod taxi service along the 8.8 kilometer route linking Bandra and Kurla railway stations.
