The Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) is now scheduled to be completed in December 2024 instead of earlier. This new deadline comes after a cabinet meeting that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde led earlier this week. The project’s original completion date of September 2024 has been pushed back.
The initial section of Line 3, which is 9.6 kilometers long and connects Bandra Kurla and SEEPZ (Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone), is vital. This move intends to expedite the financing process as these monies were previously managed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
