A 2,000 square meter (half an acre) property in Sector 5 of Dharavi has been cleared for transfer to the Dharavi Redevelopment Project (DRP) by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
MMRDA owns the site in Dharavi Sector 5, which is next to the BEST bus depot. The property transfer, which DRP sought in May, is compliant with the state government’s resolution requiring the contractor to be selected as the recipient of government land in the Dharavi notified area.
