The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has proposed a new link that will connect Plot C-80 to Plot C-79, located below the BKC connector, stretching from the SEBI building to Avenue 5 (BKC connector road) and Avenue 3 (WeWork), in an effort to alleviate traffic congestion at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) connector and BKC One Junction.
The new route will allow for movement without a signal, which will shorten travel times, according to MMRDA. Three different routes will be used to split traffic using this new link, making it disperse more quickly and effectively. Furthermore, it will offer continuous connectivity to cars traveling to and from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the BKC connector, facilitating easier distribution towards important places such as MTNL, consulates, and the Mumbai Cricket Association’s G-Block.
