Property registrations in the Mumbai real estate market increased by over 19%, reaching 12,160 in July 2024 compared to 10,221 in the same month last year, according to data from the Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamps of Maharashtra. In June 2024, there were 11,673 property registrations in Mumbai.
Stamp duty collections from these property registrations surged by more than 27%, totaling Rs 1,055 crore in July 2024, up from Rs 832 crore in July 2023. In June 2024, stamp duty collections were Rs 1,014 crore, the data revealed.
