MHADA’s Mumbai Mandal: The cost of homes in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojan at Goregaon, Pahadi has gone up by INR 1.92 lakh. The house under this scheme was sold for 30 lakh 44 thousand rupees in August 2023. These properties now cost 32 lakh 36 thousand rupees, payable by the qualifying winners.
The PMAY program covers an estimated 1,900 homes at the Pahadi, Goregaon housing complex in Mumbai Mandal. August 2023 saw the holding of the lottery for these homes. The annual family income ceiling was set at INR 3 lakh under the PMAY plan. However, the winners of PMAY have returned 88 properties for reasons related to money or other issues.
Following the 88 dwellings’ participation in PMAY, their costs were set. The price was raised to 33 lakh 2 thousand rupees as a result, by 2 lakhs. The price of a house has gone up by 2 lac 52 thousand rupees overall. On July 2, Loksatta made the information public.
