Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde performed the Bhumi Pujan of the cultural and social building that would be built in Airoli in Navi Mumbai for the ‘Sons of soil’—Bhumiputra, the project affected Koli Aagree, and the entire tribal Koli community of Maharashtra. This time, he was speaking.
The program was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Members of Parliament Naresh Mhaske, Manda Mhatre, Dnyaneshwar Mhatre, Niranjan Dawkhare, Pravin Darekar, Vinay Sahastrabudhe, Vinay Sahastrabudhe, Ramesh Dada Patil, a former legislator and national president of Koli Mahasangh, Ganesh Naik, Sandeep Naik, local activists Vijay Chaugule, and other dignitaries.
“Koli is the king of the rivers and son of the soil of Mumbai—Bhumiputra,” Chief Minister Shri Shinde continued. He stated that the state’s Koli community will make use of this edifice. He went on to say that when visitors from all over the world came to Mumbai for the G-20 program, they gave the Koli songs first prominence.
He went on to say that the Koli brothers who are affected by the “Wadhwan” project would receive the largest package in the country. Additionally, the government would support the Koli people and create a better fishing system, according to Deputy Chief Minister Shri Fadnavis.
The recipients received the cold storage boxes from Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde. Likewise, the recipients of the Pradhanmantri Matsya Sampada Yojana “Fish on wheels” program also received the keys to the cars.
