During the intervening night of Saturday & Sunday, that is, on September 28 & 29, 2024, a major block will be taken on the UP & DOWN Fast lines and the 5th line in order to permit the construction of the 6th line between Goregaon and Kandivali stations. On September 28 and 29, a block will be taken from 00.00 to 10.00 on the UP fast line, from 00.45 to 05.00 on the Down fast line and from 00.00 to 05.00 on the 5th line.
All UP and DOWN Fast line trains would travel on the Slow lines between Borivali and Andheri during the block time, according to Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway. From Andheri to Borivali, all 5th line Mail/Express trains will operate on the DOWN Fast line.
A small number of suburban trains may be impacted by this block and may be cancelled or short-terminated while it is in effect. An enclosed list of cancelled and short-terminated trains is Annexure I and Annexure II. Concerned Station Masters have access to comprehensive information on this subject.
