The Adani Group’s real estate division, Adani Realty, is preparing for a big push in Mumbai with plans to build 6–8 million square feet of retail, commercial, and residential space. A 25,000-seat conference hall close to the future Navi Mumbai airport, which is set to compete with Mukesh Ambani’s Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), is a showpiece of this project.
The planned convention centre will be a component of a broader ecosystem that includes retail establishments, corporate meeting rooms, and five-star hotels. This project, which is 3-3.5 million square feet in size, intends to make use of its advantageous location close to Navi Mumbai airport and solve connectivity issues that the Jio World Centre in BKC frequently faces.
Additionally, Adani Realty has landed a 24-acre redevelopment project close to the Bandra-Worli Sealink. The project will be 4.5 million square feet of mixed-use space, with 3.5 million of that space designated for residential use. The business is also renovating the 18-acre site of the former ACC campus in Thane into a residential complex with six storeys.
The corporation has big plans for more than just Mumbai. In collaboration with the State government, Adani Realty is actively redeveloping Dharavi, the largest slum cluster in Asia. Its expanding portfolio includes residential, commercial, and retail properties in Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Pune, and Odisha.
With 24 million square feet of projects completed since its founding 12 years ago and another 61 million square feet in the works, Adani Realty has rapidly expanded in the Indian real estate market.
