CSMIA Passenger Traffic Grows By 6.3% In 2024, Reaching 5.48 Crore

According to Mumbai International Airport Ltd. (MIAL), passenger volume increased by 6.3% from 5.16 crore in 2023 to 5.48 crore in 2024. Additionally, 3,46,617 air traffic movements (ATMs) were registered at the airport, representing a 3.2% increase over the prior year.

With 50.5 lakh passengers, December was the busiest month, exhibiting a 3.4% increase. On December 21, the airport saw 1.7 lakh passengers—1,16,982 domestic and 52,800 international—the most in a single day.

Additionally, in December, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) set a new record with more than 8,000 international ATMs. Additionally, on February 3 and February 10, it recorded 962 single-day ATMs, the greatest number ever, highlighting its status as a major international travel hub.
