Kalpataru To Redevelop Two Housing Societies In Mumbai’s Chembur And Goregaon

Documents examined by IndexTap reveal that Kalpataru Limited, a Mumbai-based company, has reached agreements to redevelop two housing societies totalling 7.37 acres in the eastern district of Chembur and the western suburb of Goregaon.

According to property registration records accessed via CRE Matrix, the real estate firm has signed redevelopment agreements valued at ₹328 crore for the projects.

Market sources indicate that these redevelopments will introduce 480 new residential units for sale in the open market, while over 320 units will be allocated for rehabilitation.

The two housing societies involved in the project are Hari Niketan CHS in Goregaon and Suman CHS in Chembur. As per official records, the agreement for Hari Niketan CHS was registered on October 3, 2024 with a project valuation exceeding 81 crore and a stamp duty payment of ₹6.53 crore. Meanwhile, the redevelopment pact for Suman CHS was signed on January 30, 2025, valued at ₹247 crore, with stamp duty payments of ₹21.06 crore.

Despite reaching out for comments, neither Kalpataru Limited nor representatives from the two housing societies responded to queries.
