Bandra Resident Calls Out Hill Road Pothole, BMC Assures Action

Concerning a pothole in the centre of Hill Road, Bandra West, a Bandra resident has brought attention to the street’s declining state. User @ShabrinZeenat raised awareness to the problem on X (previously Twitter) on Sunday, calling on the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to act right now.

Describing the situation as “Brand new gutter, brand new disaster,” the user criticized the poor state of infrastructure and questioned the city’s development by asking, “Progress ya potholes?” The post quickly gained traction, drawing attention to the plight of local residents and daily commuters struggling with the neglected road conditions.

In response, the BMC acknowledged the complaint and assured swift action, stating, “We regret the inconvenience caused to you. We have intimated our team to attend this as soon as possible.”

Known for its lively street shopping, restaurants, and close proximity to Bandra Railway Station, Hill Road is one of Mumbai’s busiest thoroughfares. Because of the high volume of traffic on the route, maintenance is essential, and locals expect the civic organisation would take swift action to guarantee safer and more convenient transportation.
