Mumbai is set to host India’s inaugural Inter Passenger Terminal Show (IPTS) on 11–12 June 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, marking a significant milestone in the country’s aviation sector. The event, organised by Media Fusion in partnership with Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIAL), aims to showcase next-generation innovations in airport terminal design, operations, and passenger experience.
The IPTS will serve as a premier platform for aviation professionals, featuring cutting-edge solutions powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, and smart technology. It aligns with the Indian government’s vision of positioning the country among the world’s top three aviation markets.A key highlight of the event is the Inter Passenger Terminal Conference, which will bring together top airport designers, operations experts, and senior aviation leaders.
The conference will focus on forward-looking themes including innovative terminal architecture, smart technology integration, sustainable practices, and the future of personalised passenger experiences.India’s aviation sector is experiencing rapid growth, with airport infrastructure investment expected to surpass ₹60,000 crore between 2025 and 2027. Passenger traffic is forecast to grow at a CAGR of 8–9%, driven primarily by domestic travel.
According to ICRA, India’s air traffic could reach 407–418 million passengers this fiscal year and is projected to make the country one of the world’s top three aviation markets by 2052.Taher Patrawala, Managing Director of Media Fusion, called IPTS 2025 a “game-changer”, noting that it would catalyse innovation, collaboration, and strategic partnerships in Indian aviation.The event is also supported by the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC), which highlighted the impact of the revamped UDAN scheme, aimed at improving connectivity to underserved regions with 120 new destinations over the next decade.
